liquids, perishables
I just wandered deep into Bushwick with a plastic bag full of change, looking for a Coinstar machine supposedly at a local drugstore. It was hot when I started walking, raining heavily by trip's end. The Coinstar wasn't working, I still have my coins. Now the coins are sticky because I bought a bottle of homemade Mavi champagne from a little abuelita on the sidewalk which subsequently spilled everywhere as I walked and talked on my cell phone. I had a sip from the lady's Mavi bottle before I bought my own, I can't tell if there was booze inside. I digress. I really needed that change to buy kitty litter is the problem, now I have a beer-versus-litter dilemma that no man should ever have.
The Mavi only cost $1.50, by the way.

i think it's funny that you 'wandered deep into bushwick with a bag full of change' instead of just buying the kitty litter with the change. was it all pennies or what?
still, i understand, you don't want to risk looking like "that guy" who has to buy kitty litter with a bag of change. way to keep up appearances.
last time i had a sackachange, i had to go to three different locations in and around park slope/downtown brooklyn before i found an operational coinstar machine. they're always "out of order."
i bought my last plane ticket to florida with coinstar-converted change.
Stay tuned ladies, I'm not done talkin' bout coinstar...
