It's been a long time since I've seen a movie as bad as Black Snake Moan. I watched about 1/2 hour, then fast forwarded through to the ending just to see if everybody got married. Really dumb. Poor Danny Glover. I guess Christina Ricci maybe did an ok job, I'm not sure, but what she had to work with was so ridiculous.. she just was expected to lie on the street, on Danny Glover's floor, and on the ground at the football field in her underpants (looking pretty darn sexy I must say in spite of being beaten and thrown in the street). You never really got to know her, or anyone really. Everyone in this movie was like a joke of themselves.
Ridiculous movie. Lots of dumb things. Dumb dialog. Booooring.

my mom had this comment about 'black snake moan...
"the music was really good, but that little girl in that movie, i don't know about her, she was ok i guess, but i don't think she's going to make it very far as an actress."
(referring to christina ricci...i didn't have the heart to say anything)
what's amazing is that anybody's mother watched "black snake moan." i can not imagine there is even the remotest possiblity that my mother would sit down and watch that movie.
then again, i guess if my mom watched something like that, she and jesus would have to have a serious talk afterward. over a couple of cocktails, of course.
Haven't seen that movie (nor has my mother... lol vv) though I have heard of it. It was shown on the last Film Festival in my city. What about one called Buffalo 66?, I found it great, Christina Ricci was lovely and so was Vincent Gallo.
Hey, remember that time we were at Coachella and you were telling us that you maybe saw a guy that looked like Vincent Gallo but you weren't sure and then we looked up and saw Vincent Gallo through the chain linked fence and he kinda smiled and waved and then walked away and we were all like 'Whoa, that was Vincent Gallo.'?

various v- have you seen the film? It has a Christian message.
jd- people have called vinny gallo many things but I've never heard lovely.
elliott- I remember so much awesomeness from Coachella, I want to return this year but I bet you and Jon hate all the bands.
