1c) Loop

So I put a song (Woke Up New by the Mountain Goats) on my MySpace profile that I've been obsessing over for a week now. Seriously, some nights I will listen to it ten times in a row. I don't know if it's healthy to spend so much time listening to one thing over and over again. Especially when it's a devastating breakup song and you're in a healthy happy relationship.

The other day Jon was singing the song when I came into work. Apparently I had played it so many times the night before that it had wormed its way into his dreams. Yesterday I suggested that I was going to get trapped in the song like the girl in Poltergeist. "What'll I do...without Jesse?"

So I implore you my readers, go and give this great tune a listen! Within a day or two, I'll have put up a different song forever.

p.s.

Thanks Stranger Bill!

Check out "The Best Ever Death Metal Band in Denton" - it's a Mtn Goats song that doesn't make me want to rip my heart out and beat it against the nearest tree.

John Darnielle and I lived in Ames, Iowa at the same time on the same day I met Michael Moore. John Darnielle is much much nicer then Mr. Moore. The zine is now electronic and you can check out his writing at www.lastplanetojakarta.com.

He also put on one of the best concerts I've ever attended. He ended it with a hilarious cover of Ace of Base's "The Sign." If you're curious to hear this, the performance was at the M-Shop or Maintenance Shop in Ames, Iowa on March 11, 2002. Don't download the album version because it's devoid of snark. Who wants an Ace of Base cover without irony!?!?

Oh christ. The above was supposed to read "He gave me his zine on the same day I met Michael Moore."
