I have to say that the contents of this article strike me as some of the most self-serving, manipulative political trickery ever. When Edwards says, "Don't vote for me because my wife has cancer," he is really saying "Did I mention my wife has cancer? Vote for me."

dude- do you remember I got fired for making fun of a candidate who campaigned on "my dear departed wife begged me to run for Congress on her deathbed"?
